Adrenaline

Non-selective agonist at alpha-1, alpha-2, beta-1 and beta-2 adrenoceptors. Alpha-1 vasoconstriction raises blood pressure, beta-1 increases heart rate and contractility, beta-2 relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and stabilises mast cells. First-line treatment for anaphylaxis. Cleared by COMT and MAO, not by cytochrome P450.
